Home/Panel Updates & Upgrades

Plan an electrical panel project around your property

An electrical panel project may come up when equipment needs change, a renovation is planned, or an existing system needs attention. Greater Denver Electric Company LLC provides residential panel updates. Share what you are planning and what you have noticed so the project can be discussed in the context of your property.

Request a Panel Project Discussion

Start with the property and its electrical needs

Panel work is specific to the existing equipment, the property, and the electrical needs the system is expected to support. Rather than assume an upgrade is necessary, describe the reason for the request. GDEC can discuss the work scope and the next step for evaluating the project.

A panel project may be worth discussing if you are planning a renovation, adding electrical equipment, considering a dedicated circuit, or dealing with a recurring panel-related issue. These examples are not a diagnosis; an evaluation is needed to determine what work, if any, is appropriate.

Information to include in your request

Share the property address, what prompted the project, whether it is part of a renovation or equipment installation, and any known details about the existing panel. Do not remove the panel cover or touch internal components to collect information. If you have a photo of the closed panel and its exterior label, you may describe it in the form and share the photo when the team follows up.

A clear scope before the work begins

GDEC’s approach is to define project scopes before work starts. For a panel project, use the initial conversation to explain what is included, what needs to be evaluated, and what follow-up may be required. Project details and applicable requirements can vary by property.
